A juggernaut is something that is strong and destructive, a force that is unstoppable, an object capable of crushing all in its path. You don't exactly think of a Ram 1500 TRX when you think of a juggernaut, but with its "whoa" appearance and $297,999 price tag, the Apocalypse 6x6 Juggernaut certainly earns the title.

This is the company's latest six-wheeled creation. Apocalypse 6x6 has about 180 other builds on the road from its lineup of HellFire, Sinister 6, Doomsday, Dark Horse, and Warlord offerings—and the Juggernaut is the largest and most feature-packed of them all.

It's the perfect vehicle for achieving off-road supremacy with proven reliability. With everything to make it a well-rounded super-truck, the Juggernaut has it all-in-one.  We listened to what our customer wanted…they wanted five seats, more space, more power but reliable power, an automatic bed cover, fog lights that turn to help you see better in bad conditions, more size, locking differentials, better handling, more cameras, option to be quiet or loud, cooled seats, active suspension, and the list goes on," said Joseph Ghattas, owner, engineer and head designer of Apocalypse Manufacturing.

Since the Apocalypse Juggernaut is a lot to take in and process, think of it as a Ram 1500 TRX truck all jacked up on steroids. The factory front end has been ditched in favor of a custom grille and bumper combo that flow into the wing-like front fenders and hood scoop, all constituting one heck of a nosepiece. Another structure encapsulates the windshield and houses a lightbar. Entry into the four-door cab—the only part that resembles that of a traditional truck—is easier thanks to power-deploying steps. The traditional bed has been replaced by a custom unit measuring nearly nine feet highlighted by massive, shelf-like open wheel wells (that essentially replace the bedsides) and a remote-controlled weatherproof retractable slant-back cover that runs from the top of the cab to the top of the tailgate. The factory rear bumper has been replaced by a "slate-piled" creation (basically thin slats stacked about an inch apart so air flows through the whole thing).

We don't see any interior pictures, but Apocalypse claims it is the beauty to the exterior's beast. It says it has "the industry's largest rear bench"—in terms of what, we're not sure. Seat, door, dash, and armrest surfaces are covered in leather and suede. Despite the rampant mods, common Ram technology is retained: 12-inch screen, electric seats and mirrors, Harman Kardon sound system, surround camera, parking sensors, rear mirror live cam, heated and cooled seats, and panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood rests a modified supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that the company claims pushes 850 horsepower. We don't see any underhood photos, but you can hear the supercharger whine and the throaty sound of a V-8 in video of the Juggernaut throwing roost.

If all of the aforementioned mods were not enough, the Apocalypse Juggernaut packs an extra set of wheels for a total of six—and they all drive, so it's full-time six-wheel drive. Apocalypse added its own patented middle axle, the magic touch that the company is really known for. There's a lot of wheels, and they're big: 22-inch SFJ rims wrapped in 40-inch tires. Locking differentials and Dana 60 axles complete the package, and the driver can select from five drive modes (Sport, Drag Race, Baja, Rock, and Mud). The front suspension remains independent, though the funky high-clearance wheel wells allow for better tire travel. Apocalypse says the truck can handle a ramp launch ten feet off the ground, something the company says it has tested over 50 times.

Apocalypse claims the Juggernaut can tow 20,000 pounds, but heavily modified in every way and measuring 88 inches high, 98 inches wide, and 272 inches long—more in every regard than a Ram 3500—we suspect that would be one heck of a white-knuckle ride.

The Apocalypse 6x6 Juggernaut is built in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and sold through locations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. In addition to this black one, there's also a Kevlar-coated iteration available.
