THIS IS the moment a Wrexham bin wagon reversed into a car - pushing it into a hedge.

The incident occurred Parsonage Close in Gresford on Wednesday morning as bin men were doing their rounds.

The owner of the car is said to be "livid" over the incident.

Gresford councillor, Jeremy Kent, said: "Whilst accidents can happen it is clearly disappointing for the owner to discover their vehicle has been damaged in this way.

"I have called on council officials to ensure that this matter is resolved for the resident as swiftly as possible and will continue to support the vehicle owner through the process."

A Wrexham Council spokesperson said: "This incident was reported to the supervisor and to the police on 101 when the owner of the vehicle could not be found.

"We have now been in touch with the owner and passed on our apologies and insurance details so the matter can be progressed.”
